memoria y las visionarias

This assemblage serves as a documentary record of the fieldwork conducted during the initial run of Las Visionarias / The Visionaria Network, made across the span of 2014-2016. Las Visionarias was a development project in Peru’s Sacred Valley focusing on the sustainable development and the empowerment of Quechuan females in the Peruvian Andes. The work is sequenced here as fragments from this time: the city, the project, the girls, the people, nature, the animals.

What remains, more than any single image or moment, is the accretion of memories built the way a river flows - insistent and winding, relentless in its return to the source.
