arrhythmias: artistic interventions in the age of the algorithm
MFA Thesis, Emily Carr University of Art + Design, 2022
photography, generative code, net.art, sculpture, poetics
An arrhythmia is a problem with the rhythm of the heart. Here it names a condition of the present - a body trying to keep pace with technologies that outran it. The thesis moves through photography, code, sculpture, and voice to ask what attention, intimacy, and selfhood become inside systems built for efficiency and control.
